Description

In this training, participants are enabled to research funding options based on a grid of criteria

Content

  • Who funds artistic projects, and in which context (dedicated art funds vs. funds that can be used for artistic projects)
  • Principles of funding (Flatrate based, "Fehlbedarfsfinanzierung", "Vollfinanzierung" etc)
  • Find possible funds for own ideas out of a pool of funding options
  • Writing a pitch of an own project directed at a specific funding program

Method

  • presentation of some principles and sources of funding
  • participants try to connect their own previously developed ideas with funding programme profiles that are spread in the room on papers
  • participants write a pitch of their project directed at a selected funding programme

Objectives

  • to get a first gasp at funding mechanisms and resources
  • to learn how to connect own ideas and existing funding sourdes successfully

Results

The module results in a better understanding of funding possibilities and, in the best case, lays grounds for actual funding applications

  • Whiteboard or Flipchart with suitable markers (or projector, in case digital presentation is used)
  • Paper and pens
