Similar to this example, this project gathered young artists from a variety of disciplines: to share, inspire, learn, and collaborate artistically with whatever is brought to the table. In this way, everyone has the chance to get to know and try out new tastes and recipes.
Sci-fi aimed to bring together young artists (aged 18 to 30) from 5 different European countries for collaboration across the boundaries of individual art forms. A continuous “flow” was created on stage; the show was developed by the participants together with coaches and an artistic director within 12 days.
The project took place in Salzburg and hosted by Streetdance Center, our partner organisation in Austria.
The final result was then premiered on August 13 and 14 at the Aigen Rehearsal Center in Salzburg, Austria.
“Potluck” is actually the name for meetings where all participants contribute something edible that is then shared with everyone. The important thing is that there is usually no agreement about who brings what. What emerges are often diverse buffets, and without much effort. The more individuals that participate, the more diverse the selection often is.
